yeah, so? a lot of people who are bilingual [with Urdu as their second language] have accent…ALL of them do everywhere! you want me to post an audio clip of my imitation of them?

i once got a wrong number in Mumbai and this guy was a memoni/bohri and the conversation we had was hilarious. i teased him to the point of he got real angry with me :cb:

I know memons are predominantly Sunni, I was speaking specifically about Kutchi speaking people who have crossed Ismaili. Bohris are pretty much Gujrati speaking.

I know that kutchi speakers say “kro” vs “kuro” a lot (my MIL is kutchi speaking, I’ve been around it for the past 14 years :cb:)

i think it depends on what geographic area they belong to…Kutchchhii memons are those who hail from Runn of Kutch which spans across the borders of India an Pakistan [Gujrat and Sindh…to be specific]

Runn = maidaan, maidaan-e-jang [battle field]
Kutch = an area in Gujrat, India
