Am I the broken vessel
containing mild
and tastless wine
that has grown bitter with the
passage of
time and ravages of the seasons,
Or am I the lamp that has run
out of oil and is giving
out a flickering
flame that is thick
with smoke
that overcomes its
meager light
Am I the ship that
is lost in the
immeasurable seas
shrouded in
the mists of confusion,
Or am I the bitter
