HPDH is too thick and complex a book to be rolled into one film only, but making two parts would really spoil the fun. i think they would just take out the kechi and do some darzi work, like they did in GoF.

i think it's a great idea that they are splitting it in two. The book has too much info and there's no way they could've made a 2.5 hr movie out of it.

no way! GoF was a movie...not a HP movie. Yes it was good but it was so far removed from what the book was.

yupe, it was by far the most un HP book based remake, like they just cut out the months between the session's starting and the rival schools' arrival and all, but i dont think they r gonna spilt the book into two films. and i do think they gota make the films quickly, or else our supposed pre 19 year leap 17 year old Harry would end up looking like the Harry post 19 years.in the movie, that is.

pallav explained what i meant. basically if you read book 4, you would see it's so different from the movie. the skeleton's there, but so many of the essentials are missing. if it wasn't called HP4 and was a different movie it would be a good movie, but as a HP movie it's a dissapointment

Well, itz good too in a way that they are constantly changing the original plot, we get to see another version of the story. those who have never read the books would not get anything anyways, those who have would, so no probs. but i do think they should stay loyal to the books for the last two films in the series.

I don't think it's a good idea to split the book into 2 films. I think its just to try an extend the HP franchise as much as possible and get more money out of the whole thing.

They are going to split DH into 2 films. One part to be released in 2010 and the next part in 2011. There will be a 2 year gap between the release of the 6th film (which is out later this year) and part 1 of the 7th film. I think Dan Radcliffe will be 21 by the time that the last film is released which isn't too bad considering other films portraying teenagers e.g. Grease have much older actors in the roles.
