"LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music’s queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behaviour and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, died Saturday. She was 48.
Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen told reporters outside the Beverly Hilton that Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. in her room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Her body remained there and Beverly Hills detectives were investigating.
“There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent,” Rosen said. Houston’s publicist, Kristen Foster, said the cause of death was unknown."
^as far as I know it was her husband who got her into the drugs...since she met him her life has been downhill from there :( am not saying it is all his fault..coz she should have had more control over herself...I dnt know...no matter how much money ppl have it can't buy happiness...
It is very hard to say why she ended up like this but the Fame becomes a trap. They mix with the wrong sorts of people and there are a lot of dubious hangers on. Very hard to recover from the downhill path. Britney, rhymes with Whitney, did it though. Strange that she went on tv and said that if she had a daughter like Madonna, she would kill her.
^hmmm...true..but why did she say if she had a daughter like Madonna she would kill her? Madonna seems to be doing pretty well handling her fame and her life...though it has never been perfect!
I jst read that her 18yr old daughter had been rushed to hospital yesterday too for anxiety attack :( But she had been released today...Feel bad for her..
^^initial autopsy reports showed water in her lungs, she most likely drowned in the bathtub. She had been drinking the night before and was also on Xanax, not a good combo :nono:
I wanted to say the same thing....that Brown has some responsibility here....but is that really fair? She was a grown woman that knew right from wrong.....she had the means to walk away from him and where he was leading her.......
