so ive just returned from PK (back to UK) after about 7 months! on returning although i did notice there…my skin has tanned this horrible orange/wheatgerm colour i cant describe really…and i dontknow what to do about it…ive been doing home made masks which do help like yoghurt, oatmeal, haldi, lemon, honey mixed together…but my skin needs that glow back…
i went to have a wax the other day and i saw that the local parlour have started doing whitening facials…id heard people do them like every 3 months in pak and they were a must for dulhan’s but i didnt get one done i just got the normal medicated facial done whilst i was in pak. butnow im thinking of trying this whitening facial in the the hope that my skin will return to its normal colour and have that nice glow to it..i was just wondering if any of you guys have tried this whitening facial? whatare your experiences does it work? is it any good?
My friend has her own salon and actually offers skin whitening. It's not bleach, but it's this other stuff they put on your face to give it a 'white glow'. It's targeted for brides. It only lasts a few days though.
I'd not go for the whitening kind of facial....you got yourself too tanned which affects the very top layers of your skin. So why not try dermabrasion or those peeling masks that remove the top layers. THose whitening treatments MAY (or may NOT!) bleach your skin to a lighter color but think about the price you'll be paying later on - in wrinkled and bleach-damaged skin. Exfoliation is actually healthy to do to your skin while bleach is just doing damage for short term gain! And actually many, many men find the dark and mysterious look of Desis to be the sexiest.
Devoted2Allah, why don't you just wait a few weeks/months for your skin to go back to its original form naturally. Don't rush the process with masks and bleaches. It's only going to make your skin worse.
lol, I'm getting hungry! actually, I've used Apricot facial scrub, its very nice. It has ground up apricot shells in it and apricot and other citrus fruits, it gets off the top yukky layer(s) of skin very nicely. You use it every 3 days or so and within a week or 2 you should be back to your lovely original glow.
my parlour on my last visit to pk gave me a whitening facial.............
although i am fair skinned neway.............
but i found it just really freshned my skin and prob did whiten it too bcoz the only place she did not appply it was around my eyes and they looked extra dark.........compared to normal..........
i have v sensitive skin but it did me no harm n i actually liked the way my face looked rejuvnated n clear afterwards!!!!!!!!
I got the whitening facial in Pak few weeks back and it
did nothing for me. Although
when I got it last time few years back from the
same place, my skin did look whiter.
