whitening/brightening serum!

Hey shaaaaaadi guppies. so recently ive been testing some skin products (all natural) on my skin to help with dark spots or just a lightening/brightening effect to help dull skin. my friend who gave me this recipe which uses kojic acid, sepiwhite, arbutin, licorice extract (ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS AND NOT BLEACHES LIKE HYDROQUINONE)! Basically she makes it up for me and i pay her for it but it REALLY WORKS! i mean it doesnt just “slightly lighten” it really makes my whole face incredibly lighter and “glowy” i get a lot of acne marks and brown spots and it takes them away fast. i would make it on my own but i dont have all those expensive ingredients. if you want her info i can give it to you she sells the serum for like 50 dollars which is pretty good. just PM me if you want it. you can also see the recipe on this link and if you like it and waant to try it you can ask me for her info. http://www.skingeek.com/acneic-skin-lightening-skin-brightening-and-skin-lightening-lab-updates-and-latest-trends-3/

i know how it is getting ready for shaadi time and trying to get skin up to the best shap possible

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

did ur friend make this 'cream' or watver from the recipe posted on the link u provided? cuz once i started reading thru the link, it has too many other links and its like ads for skin problems...i guess u rnt friends with the lady who says she experimented???

just wanna know..cuz i wouldnt want to apply anything to my face without being sure that it wont ruin my skin.

thanks

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

So did she make it..??

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

my friend has her own company though so its not like its just "random" i love it!

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

Oh I was looking for something like this. How long have you used it?

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

I dont know i feel its one of those add which people get other people to click and then they get paid for it...however i would love to use this creme if i can get it. Where is your friend can i get this in Canada? how about a trial first? :)

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

i use it for 2-3 weeks ata time its very potent and safe unlike hydroquinone!

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

Are you sure its safe?

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

u said that it has kojic acid in it that is pretty dangerous as well. It has a very similar action on melanin cells in the skin as hydroquinone. Kojic acid has been banned as an ingredient in whitening creams in Japan. Im not saying u should not use this cream that is up 2 ureself im just letting u knw that kojic acid is not safe so be careful using it, make sure u put on loads of sunscreen everytime u go out. I used a cream called golden pearl for a small while it has hydroquinone in it, so i had to superrrrr careful, im not using it atm but will start again as it helped to get rid of my acne scars, i knw i shudbt b using it often but i make sure i put loadssss of sunsceen on and not use it 4 prolonged amounts of time. Anyhow thought id let u knw abt kojic acid and gd luck with the wedding:D

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

koijc acid is FDA approved and used most widely in japan. the reason it was banned was because of chemical additives used in conjunction with it!

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

really oh ok my bad sorry i thought it was pretty dangerous, cos it blocked melanin cell activity the same as hydroquinone :bummer:

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

no it isnt dangerous at all. hydroquinone is the one that blocks melanin from forming and it also "bursts" the melanocytes causing HYPERPIGMENTATION

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

Any form of acid is dangerous for the skin in the long run.

Just think 20 years from now when your skin will start to age and you've already destroyed it by using harmful chemicals on it in youth.

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

I agree with adrasteia on this point. I would suggest microdermabrasion or even a chemical peel from a qualified beautician. Unlike anyform of acid, these treatments do not cause harm to the skin.

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

HQ does exactly what these creams are doing...the difference is in the cream formulas.....not the process....
you shouldnt be using this stuff..your skin is beautiful the way it is..

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

i agree....a Microdermabrasion/peel combo will give you healthier/better results..

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

^whats microdermabreasion/peel for?

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

i think its a couple of sessions of each stretched out in a month or so..i heard it on the desi radio.. :)

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

Peels can be done as frequent as per week to longer periods of a month apart.

Both dermabrasion and peels do the same thing, gently peel off the top dead layer of the skin.

Whats wrong with 'em is the fact that you are peeling off the top layer of your skin and leaving it to be prone to bacteria.

Just like a wound is prone to getting infected so is the peeled skin and you have to be very very careful with it for the first few days.

Re: whitening/brightening serum!

Doesnt the face bleed if you peel off the top of the skin :(.........
sounds painful to me
