Salaam. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding homeopathic treatments for white spots on the skin (vitiligo). I understand this is a skin condition with no cure, but I have been told that some people have had a great deal of success with homeopathic treatments. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I dont believe in homeopathy. To me it seems like they give the same tiny white "pills" to everyone. My friend's cousin had the condition and i'm not too sure but I think the doctors took a layer of her skin off, maybe laser or sthg? I dont remember the exact details because I was busy multi tasking :(

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I am based in North America, so the London hospital is out. As for the removal of skin, it sounds pretty extreme but I guess we would consider it. If you could give me a few more details I would appreciate it, such as what exactly they did, and what did she look like afterwards. And I generally am not a big homeopathic person myself. But unfortunately the prescribed medications for this condition seem to do more harm than good, and apparently this is something that some people have been able to treat with homeopathic treatments. So I thought I would ask if anyone knew of an effective one. Apparently, there are supposed to be a few Pakistani homeopathic treatments, so I thought maybe someone on this site would be able to share some.

We have consulted a doctor. The medications they generally prescribe are steroid based creams, which you apply to the area. There are many side effects to the creams, including increased sun sensitivity, and thinning of the skin. Not to mention should you stop applying the creams the condition comes back even stronger. The doctor has said that different patients have had luck with different homeopathic remedies. So I was hoping someone could suggest something. Thanks.
