I wouldn’t be giving congratulations. This Pope is going to create major divisions among Catholics in the U.S. and elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I like Catholics. And I have no problem with German history.

but won't the jews start bitchin and jumping and complain about the new pope ?

PBH - There is a bio in the new Pope's thread explaining that in detail. Don't think they will, he refused to go to meetings and he deserted the German army when conscripted.

I think there is nothing wrong with him being in german army. He was a German patriot who fought for his country.
