the big question is who was feeding the White House Iraq Group disinformation on Iraqi capabilities that led to the ultimate decision of US Congress authorising war on Iraq..
it's all tied.. the lengths to which some individuals within the White House went to discredit Joe Wilson and his report, it's evident there are bigger players than just Scooter in there with larger skeletons in their closets than just lying about when they learnt of some information..

Worst case scenario for the White House is if the investigation continues. One person indicted and still under scrutiny would be a pain to deal with. Second term agenda (God knows what that is) is going to take a big hit if this continues.

PA, you're jumping. First you need to know why he lied, Clinton lied because he didn't want to admit he had sexual relations outside his marriage, why did Libby lie? That answer can open all sorts of doors.

The sensible thing for Scooter to do would have been taking a fifth, instead of testifying infront of the grand jury, and then giving out false information...Now fitzgerald is going to squeeze Scooter(plea bargain) to give more information in exchange for his lighter sentence....More skeletons are going to come out in the open soon.

“Scooter” is the willing scapegoat in this Plamegate scandal, and took the fall for everyone else–rove and cheney. Bush will protect his ass with power of presidential pardon before he leaves the White House.

I agree that 30 years aint gonna happen, if he accepts the plea bargain offer...However, if he refuses the plea bargain offer, then he(Scooter) will be made the scapegoat. IMO, Rowe aint going to be even touched without any help from Scooter. Also, we will be getting a new supreme court nominee probably by tomorrow at Camp David, this will give some breathing space to the White House, and divert attention from the whole fiasco.

Indeed. The prosecutor in opening statements today confirmed that Dick Cheney was the offical who passed on the information about the CIA agent to Libby.

inadvertently mentioned Plame to reporter...not Cheney!

Libby has been found Guilty 4 out of 5 charges. Faces 30 years of prison. Bush pardon in '09, or does Libby spill the beans?

Libby blackmails Bush by threatening to spill the beans. Bush gives in, announces a speech later in the day, the CIA will grab him to the side and protest, he'll walk up to the stage and announce he has cancer and he's resigning. No pardon. Libby on the run. Thank you Prison Break.

Libby will be sentenced. Then he will file an appeal. Then he will request the sentence be delayed until the appeal is heard. Then he will be pardoned.
At least there were no DNA tests.

Libby' will escape and then find out that the guy who crewed him over was his own brother who btw is now married to libby's ex squeeze, and that Libby's dad is the head honcho in this whole mess. somehow a former president is involved as well.. than you 24
