Just finished watching it, its based in bardford where a white working class family move into an area whr ever1 is asian mostly pakistani muslim. One girl in the white family- aged 11- becums interested in islam, she reads the shahaddat and reads namaz, her parent get freaked out , especially her father who doesnt let her back in to the house until she stops being a muslim,
She moves in with her muslim neighbours, and tries to convince her mother to leave the dad i' not sure but he dekse drugs or sumthin of teh sort, mother eventually leaves father, and girls moves back in-

It was a one off drama - part of a season called "White"
Watched it after thinking the trailers/ads looked good. The programme was good, only thing that spoilt it was the unnaturalness (is that a word??) of the staring asian population in the background in so many scenes.
My MIL who recently arrived from India loved it - and wants to go see an english town/city with the same type of asian/muslim population as she said she didn't know it existed here in the UK!!!!!

u could soooooooo tell that it wasnt even shot in bradford.
i defo didnt recognise anything that was remotely 'bradistani'.
i mean the masjid they kept showin, wheres that, neva seen it oh and the market where only asians go, lool theres no market like that ere.
the market looked like walthamstow market not bradford.
