I'm wearing ivory with silver kaam and full of stones and diamontes for my valima.
I think white looks SO stunning. I think its perfect for a Valima.

hey im really confuzed now.... half of you r sayin yes go 4 white and others r sayin no way
i didnt really have white as an option but when i saw that outfit it was amazing...if any of you are in uk and will go southall check it out its in the showroom of simla...
im gettin married next year inshallah in pakistan...i wont have time to do my shopping from there so therefore i will be gettin my outfit made from here still looking around in different areas

if 90% of the replies said NO WAY, then maybe there's something wrong but that's not the case :)

basically some ppl think white doesnt suit asian skintone, im actually kinda wheatish so personally i like wearing it, however my mum got a really nice white suit but its lying at the back of the wardrobe, she says she cant stand it!
its personal preference really.....since most ppl wear reds on their wedding day (ie the barat) its nice to lighten things up a little.....u dnt have to go white...or off-white.....but i think it looks really elegant :)

White is a nice color for valima, depending on what time of the year and your complexion, where are you doing your shopping?

Also where in pakistan is your wedding, you can prolly get a really nice outfit just from there. Are you In canada, the states or the UK, cuz a lot of designers have stores aboard.

In fact, you know those old traditonal white outfits, from like our grand-mothers era, those look stunning! Do check it out, with a jhommar (as i just saw your other post) with some nice jewelry. You'll look very regal.

i wore white/ivory on my walima and it everyone loved it and still talks bout it. BUT it only matters what you like.

My personal preference would be different but if you think you love it, then go for it! It is certainly your own wedding!

white is such a pretty colour for any skin tone!!
it can be very flattering depending on what the shade is, what the material is, and how you carry it--- just like any other colour. pakifairy/silsila wore ivory-ish shades and they both rocked it.
