While offering Friday Prayer

:salam2:

Some pplz offers Friday prayer little far from the Masjid like around 200 meter away. This is because when Masjid is full and there is no place inside it than they offers prayer outside beside the Masjid on road in open air. So some pplz offer this prayer 200 meter away under the shade of a tree (they are like 10 - 15 pplz) while other 100+ pplz offers prayer in open air right next to the Masjid on road.

I just wanna know if it is allowed or not? What is the ruling about it?

:jazak:

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

as far as i know, from some bayan probably... if there is a gape of more than 2 saff, then those people who are more than 2 saff away are not considered part of the Jama'at

I agree with u :hat: lets c what other have to share

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

I think there is a simple answer for your question, during the last days of our beloved (PBUH)Prophets life when he was unable to come to the masjid, and we know the Masjid was was within earshot of his house, he still insisted that people take him to the Masjid!

If you have been to Madina Munnawwarah, the house and Masjid Nabwi are in the same building now.

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

Peace SindSagar,

Actually it looks so odd that all others are offering namaaz with Jamaat and these few peoples offering it at a close distance from the Masjid. I wanna approach to them but don’t know how :konfused:

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

^ similarly i see few people offering namaz outside of masjid but a little ahead of Imam, just because there is bit shade there. Such namaz is not valid and people don't want to listen.

I'm sure you may have noticed, in Masjid-e-nabawi, there is a red line marking position of imam outside of the covered area of Masjid.

Nahi mein ne yeh notice nahi kiya

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

i am sure Allah tallah knows our intentions. He will know that you meant to read it with jamaat but were unable to cuz of genuine reason. I am sure your namaaz will be accepted inshaAllah.

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

Peace rosedreams,

In case of 'one person' oky it is understoodable why he was praying alone but 10 - 15 pplz offering alone while majority r offering ba-jamaat, I don't think there would be any genuine reason behind that.

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

The way I see it, if there is a column (pillar) inside masjid, or a wall or stair case, and people form rows on both side of that obstacle, then its ok as the gap is not intentional. Similarly, if the gap of row outside masjid (few meters away) is majboori then its ok, but just so people can be under the shade of a tree is pure stupidity.

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

Peace TLK,

No. they are away just b'coz of the heat of sun. What I observed from past few months that now many pplz find a shade to offer namaaz and they are actually away from the row followed by right outside the Masjid when it is full. I see when group is behind the shade of a building, some others are under the shade of a tree. It looks like that many different jamaat are going on.

Re: While offering Friday Prayer

I agree with all , there s a fatwa of Mufti Ismail moosa about this.

[QUOTE]
Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

1) If Salāh is performed outside a Masjid, or in a Masjid but the ṣufūf overflow till out of the Masjid, then if there is such a large gap between the ṣufūf as the distance of a road or small river on which boats can sail, then the iqtidā will be invalid. In light of this, it is not permissible for people to perform ṣalāh following the Imāms of the Ḥaram whilst they are in their hotels.

If Ṣalāh is performed in Jamā’ah in a Masjid, then there is no problem how large the gap between ṣufūf is.

2) Since the top floor would also be part of the Masjid, it is fine if 80% of the hall is empty.

And Allāh Ta’ālā knows best.

Wassalām,

Ismail

but what about harmain? You see there are people who offer jumma in haram from with'n their hotel like there are masajid in Makkah tower and Makkah hilton? any idea how this is allowed?

As far as i know there is no separate imam for jamaat in these masajid.
