While monkey business of politicians is on, few are gathered in Lahore and someone is threatening for million march…almost half a million of our brothers and sisters are displaced, apart from TV shots, nothing substantial being done and here comes the person Malik Riaz, ready to take care of 100,000 IDPs…few days back when I roll this idea here… It was funny to few…but I guess to the private business men it was not…

Since he have taken the initiative, I think SS should urge other real-estate developers and oil/gas related Business houses in Punjab to follow the move…

I do not trust MR but if he is sincerely helping the IDPs with what he is pledging, kudos to him and wish him all the best for doing so. I hope other affluent folks step up too.

These sickening photo-ops moves make me puke every time I hear of them. These people evade taxes, enjoy loopholes, and cheat the system all their lives, and then use their black money to create charities, or perform stunts like these.

If you are so keen to urge SS to tell industrialists to do what Malik Riaz is doing, why not urge SS to tax these people the way they should be, so that the govt can get the additional money, and have the ability to take care of these scenarios on its own? Or is asking these 'poor billionaire industrialists' to pay their due taxes unfair to them?

If you want to puke on good things others do, then do it in your toilet or in your room and not out in open because this tells that you are either extremely jealous or have no appreciation for any good work which is not done by your favorite leader...

Tax evasion, using loop holes is not limited to Pakistan, Be it US, UK or any other country whenever whoever gets a chance they do it... looting is the same, whenever, whoever gets a chance they do it... look at your idol IK, he have looted/wasted public money in some kind of scam in Oman... so blaming others for all the evils and hoping that overnight people turns into saints and Prophets would be ruling the world or doing businesses is just a dream which is a wet dream rather.

Try to live in todays world, i am sure you are living in one, look around you, anyone who gets a chance, they do it... people try to find loop holes in their religions.. have you ever wonder reasons of having that many cults in a single religion... whatever that religion may be... so at atleast try to keep quiet if you cannot appreciate good work of others...

Iam really sorry that god IK is busy in back stabbing the nation whilst the dirty and looters and opening their wealth to the Displaced people, if anyone then IK to be blamed for this..

I don't like the guy either, but if even he can take good care of 10% of the mentioned IDPs, it would be great service to Pakistan... we can together bash him any other day...

Pakistan would be in the select comity of nations where NGO's and individuals are doing the tasks that the state ought to be doing. We should remember that banned organizations like JuD are also very active in calamity stricken areas.

Good for him. But how about SS and NS make direct contribution to the IDP from their own personal funds? They are larger than life seasoned industrialists turned Royal Family themselves with money oozing out of their very pore. They could easily outdo Malik Riaz on personal level.

It's a hight of state incompetency and moral bankruptcy that they're relying on tax evaders and shady businessmen to wholeheartedly deal with the national crisis through personal charity. If Nawas Sharif or his deputy Prime Minister, his brother and the entire Sharif enterprise cared about this, they would've pre-planned every detail of the emergency response for the IDP crisis. But what do you expect from a brain-dead, fraud government that didn't have the audacity to inform the provincial government that operation is on its way. The CM of KPK finds out about the operation on TV, and the next thing he knows, thousands of IDPS are stranded in the KPK and no other province is willing to host them.

So much for being a Federation. Pathetic.

Tax evasion is one thing, and tax theft is another. The industrialist families that you so adore are loaded to their necks with black money.....and that is not comparable to loopholes..and im sure you know well enough that loophole tax evasion is not the only game in town in Pakistan. If you are ok with the concept of robin hoods, then more power to you. But comparing Pakistan's taxation system's integrity to other countries is laughable. Pakistan stands in a select group of countries that have special laws for the rich and famous, made by the rich and famous.

If Malik Riaz can boost his PR by stunts like these, him, Sharifs and Zardaris can boost it a lot more by paying their taxes honestly, and not laundering it off to London or Switzerland or Dubai. Instead of your usual 'bring in IK into every issue' habit, stick to discussing the issue on hand.

Yes, Pakistan is far ahead in philanthropy than many other countries, but I hope that one day these same philanthropists can start paying their taxes honestly as well so that our government can truly break its begging bowl.

I understand the pain you and many other PTIans are going through right now... it is purely matter of personal like and dislike that a guy which is hated on the masses have taken an initiative... may it be for PR basis only, but it is helping 100,000 displaced people... i don't know if you have ever been displaced from your place... by your standards and post i also came to know that no one in Pakistan should do any good because they have once committed or a crime or sin... and this does apply on the idol god IK.. he can do whatever, he remains the god...

issue here is not the personality but the out come of the action he have taken... i don't know if you have any idea what is the financial cost of this human tragedy... for you because he might be a criminal... he shouldn't be making stunts like that... but then the Prophet or god like personality the IK is ain't doing anything substantial either... he is busy in long march on some baseless allegations.. then somebody have to come forward and if it is Malik Riaz and he is going to help 100,000 people ( as he says) then kudos to him and let the loosers cry as much as they want.

2nd thing i noted.. PTIans have got special pain with this guy taking initiative... may be jealousy to the god of PTI making them say all this....

Do you mind making sense once in a while? What the heck does PTI or Imran have to do with this $hit? Your mind is stuffed with random facebook pages, and you need to clear it out before speaking.

My point was simply that if tax thieves pay their taxes honestly, our government would be able to take care of these catastrophes, and not have to resort to begging bowls, or rely on philanthropists or donors. If Malik Riaz pays his taxes honestly, it would bring in several billion into the government's coffers. If all other tax thieves pay their taxes honestly, our governments would be self sufficient. But of course, in order to do that, these family mafias would have to bring in their wealth from overseas, as more than 90% of the money is laundered overseas.
Now you can go back to watching your favorite facebook pages.
