We had to do a kind of a ‘sajida’ I was facing the other side of the group, we were in a circle.. so I was wondering, is this allowed, if you are doing it for exercise purposes ONLY or am I commiting a major sin ?
joga??? you mean yoga, right?
I think in this situation its the niyyat that counts. But don't quote me on this.
yes, yoga, in german we use ‘j’ instead of ‘y’. ![]()
so thanks, I was thinking the same, its only an exercise and its not something that I am doing on purpose.
Good question... how about the traditional bowing done in Tae Kuwando?
thats not allowed ChaChoo :p you'd better start a new sport art.

are there situations in which niyyat doesn't count? or that only the action is considered?
^ Thank you for bringing a nice tangent into the discussion, as always :k:
I don’t think I will get full sawab of hajj, while sitting at my home, just by having the niyyat. I have to get to Mekkah and Arafat and Minna during the specified time.
You forgot Muzdalifah… very important stop to get the pebbles to stone you know who…
sheesh if u thought that was wrong i dont think any muslim shud be looking for missing socks under the bed… ![]()
what if someone is thinking that you are bowing to him. do you need to make it clear to him that you're not, or can you just consign him and his thots to hell?
Saadia your intentions count..
ravage, better to clear it out..
i think its depends on what u think about it
