While conversing in english..

One of the few things i’ve noticed.

Desi’s will have a great accent but grade F vocabulary.

Africans will have perfect vocab but their native sounds and spectacles
will be littered all over their words.

Germans will have great vocab but if you dont listen in carefully one would think theyre still speaking german. Same for the french.

More coming up after further observations. Or you can add yours.

hehe....the school bus driver who comes to pick my kids is german ...n tries to practice english ....i try sooo hard not to laugh at him, at least right at the spot!
:-)
just yesterday was he saying guten morning!

The African part I agree with.

With desis it's not always like that. Maybe ypour average desi won't have a vocabulary thats above par but there are many who do.

Germans...I can't say I know any Germans!

FF. Guten Morgen. Herr Matsui ist Deutsch und er treibt Mercedez und ift Wurst und Frankfuter und Weiner. Hahaha Weiner mit hoden.

:jhanda:

Cheegum you are so right! It seems like he is still speaking German!

desis would sound so nice only if they try not to imitate local accents.

FG this is about vocabulary not accents :smash:

FF, pehlay apna accent tau theek karo. Vocabulary kaa baad may sochaingay.

:silly:

U haven’t been fortunate enough to hear it so please don’t comment on it :snooty:

The same for a lotta oriental folk, minus the vocab part.

  • "Way bus goh dong tong?" (Which bus will get me downtown?).

  • "He rike birr crinton gai." (He reminds me of Bill Clinton).

  • "Is like a, like a .. uh pay-puh crip. Like a, like a .. yoo no, crip too poo on pay-puh." (I need a paper clip to hold these pages together).

Reminds me of the time i was standing in Pakistani parliament about a month ago and 4 of our noble members including deputy speaker was pronouncing the word ‘Constitution’ amusingly wrong.. :hehe:

Chinese has neithr accent nor vocab.
-- btw have you ever tried chinese flied lice:D

Achtung! Herr Madhanee labert echt Scheiße. Er ist eine Bedrohung, eine Große Gefahr für die Öffentlichkeit. Er muss sofort verhaftet und aus dieser Welt ausgeschoben werden. Möglichst schnell! Raus, raus, ruas.

Desis on gupshup have no vocab. :p

True about Africans having a good command of the English language, especially former British colonies, their English is classic.
