Which web-based e-mail account

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

Najim Bhai, this is the error I received:

'Connecting To pop3.gawab.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23
: Connect failed'

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

bhaee type

** telnet pop3.gawab.com 110 **

You forgot "110" after the mailhost name.

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

Oops! Sorry Yaar :smack:

OK, this is what I got after logging in:

+OK Hello there.
user ****@gawab.com
+OK Password required.
pass ********
+OK logged in.
list
+OK POP3 clients that break here, they violate STD53.

I hope I did it right this time, (hasn’t printed any numbers though), what does the code STD53 mean?

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

yep, it means service is running fine on the server & your account is activated, now whatever is error is in the configuration of ur outlook. You mentioned SPA, thats the only place where u tick for SPA & u say its already unchecked so I have no clue why are u getting this SPA error message.

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

^ thanks najim, i think i'd try it with GMAIL next. Do they still allow GMAIL users to invite others to GMAIL? if so, somebody please invite me!

Re: Which web-based e-mail account

Do no trust any free or non free web-based email sites, unless its runnin on your own DABBA

get a dedicated server...
setup ur custom made webmail script or one of those that comes with cpanel like squirrelmail etc etc
or maybe set up hivemail!
have unlimited space (according to the total space on ur BOX)
setupMX / mailserver, enable some secure SSL pop3 to ur mailserver.

Use outlook and configure it with ur pop3.

Or maybe just set up MS Exchange Server on a Win2003 BOX with dual xeon 3.2 4gb ram, add few HD's up to 800gb, and have 800gb of mail space.
