Okay, I know for a fact that potatoes don’t freeze well. Also because they can stay fresh even without the fridge for many days, maybe we don’t even need to. But what about some other vegetables?
Does Shimla mirch freeze well? How about baingan?(eggplant) cauliflower?
shimla mirch n cabbage freeze really well ,dont know abt cauliflower, n i ve also frozen kaddo, karelay, spinach,n baingan too .You can also freeze potaoes if ,after cutting, u put them in hot boiling waterr for a couple of minutes.
if you freeze in a proper way, i think u can freeze anything...airtight containers or High quality freezer bags. after all, you can buy any vegetable in frozen form...if they can freeze veggies, why can't we at home?
cauliflower does not freeze well, i tried it once. but u can keep it in fridge fresh for longer period by wrapping it up in paper, either brown paper bag or any magazine paper and then put this in plastic shopper and tie securely. if u gonna keep it for longer period then u may have to change paper after few days. u can store any veggie this way.
But I always freeze cauliflower .. and it comes out nice and fresh
Usually I chop the florets to the required size, then without washing it ,I freeze it …
when I need to use it , I dont wait for it to defrost.. I take it out , give a quick run under the cold water … and off it goes into the pot … If you defrost it , you will end up spoiling it …
