A wedding dress or wedding gown is the clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony. Color, style and ceremonial importance of the gown can depend on the religion and culture of the wedding participants.
Many wedding dresses in China, India (wedding sari) and Vietnam (in the traditional form of the Ao dai) are colored red, the traditional color of good luck and auspiciousness. Nowadays, many women choose other colors besides red. In modern Chinese weddings, the bride may opt for Western dresses of any color, and later don traditional costume for the official tea ceremony. Many Asian women like to buy their wedding dress online, just here http://hihotbuy.com/wedding-apparel-wedding-dress-c-141_145.html, it is worthy to buy a cheap one. Re: which style of wedding dress do you wear in your country?
Bride wears red in our tradition too.
I know that among us Jochids and Chagatai’s brides have always worn red and men have worn white or silver.
Originally the clothing consisted of a Shalwar kameez dress for the bride with a very lavish duppata.
And for the man it was originally a kaftan of thick chintz and an undertunic and loose pants. Offcourse the groom would also wear a Kulla or helmet with a fine cloth cover and sometimes a coat of mail if he was a nobleman.
This is pretty common among all Mughal and other central asian tribes and still found today.
The Kaftan on the groom is replaced with a Sherwani these days and the Brides wear Lenga’s instead both of which i consider riddiculous but nonetheless such is todays fashion. ![]()
In Rajmput clans the customs are simmilar too. But doubtless other tribes have thier own variants.
