I think it all depends on your hair type...if u have thin/silky hair like mine...any even cheap straightener works on my hair...I have a remington for 50 bucks and I love it, makes my hair super straight and silky

If u have thick coarse hair then definitely invest in a chi

Amika...I think its perfect. It straightens and you can use it to curl as well and the voltage is suitable for all countries.

I really like Remington, I’ve used various models over the last however many years. They work great on my sister’s hair too and she has thick hair.

I never liked GHD’s when I first tried them and still don’t. When my sister’s remington finally stopped working, I bought her some GHD Mark IV’s this December gone. But we just don’t like the way they straighten or the feeling of the hair after. If you don’t do it from close to the root, you end up with a kink. So I returned them and bought her these instead:

Which are basically a newer, digital version of the ones we already have.

One thing I really like about the remington one’s is that the temperature is variable.

But if you want poker straight hair, then I guess GHDs are a better choice.

i’ve been using my Conair one for the last 2 years and it’s the only one that i find that keeps my hair straight through the day and the next day as love absolutely love it
