I've been pondering this question for the last couple of weeks.......
Richard Bernstein of Merril Lynch whos probably the single best market forecaster around (even better than Buffett) says the US Markets will be flat this year, besides which the coming trouble for US dollars will dent the american economy.
I would stick to investing in Canada, our commodities tie our economy strongly to global and especially Asian economic performances, which should stay strong in teh medium term by anyones projections.
So to make a long story short.......
Some excellant equities from the TSX (Toronto)
Major financials especially BMO and National Bank of Canada could be very valuble if a majority government is elected and bank mergers procede as planned
Bow Valley Energy - currently trading at $4.98 should be $7.50 be years end expected to double or trible revenues by 2007
Look at Cygnal Technologies (CYN) and Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP) for some very promising but Risky picks.......
