I really don’t have an investment goal. I just wanted to use some of the money I’ve put aside. I want my investments to be simple and manageable and follow Islamic guidelines.

Which set of Islamic guidelines? My father works in Islamic banking and one of the obstacles he faces is that there are often disagreeing guidelines issued by different scholars on which companies are halal/haraam.
