My Tow pennies worth. For all your listed must haves...its got to be the Mamas ansd Papas pliko pramette which tranforms into a stoller. I had one with my first and it lasted for my second. We brought the car seat (its a travel system) and it was very well used. I now have a pliko pramette with my third - its great you can have the baby facing you and lying flat (which is recommended up til six months) and then it becomes a forward facing pushcahir. Its nice and small, folds flat and you just clip the car seat onto it.
No offence to anyone but use you're money sensibly...pushchairs cost an arm and a leg these days. My s-i-l brought a Phil and Teds and she hardly used it and ended up with a Maclaren.
I have the bugaboo camelean in hot pink and i love it...it's nice and light weight and can pretty much do everything i.e. you can
stick your car seat on
forward facing
rear facing
light weight
looks good
baby is comfortable
it's actually quite compact
sturdy and hopefully long lasting!
I would definitely recommend this for first baby. But now i'm looking at dual pushchairs....oh how much fun that will be :( has any one got any recommendations for double prams?
^ the uppababy vista with the rumble seat is HUGELY popular here.
do you find the seat on the chameleon a little low to the ground compared to other strollers? that was one thing i noticed when trying out strollers, but also, it was out of our price range, same as the Bugaboo Bee Plus, which i LOVE.
I have a Stokke Xplory and am really happy with it! It is however quite big (folded) so you need a spacey carboot! First 6 months I only used the maxi cosy seat (one click fix) but now that baby sits independantly and it very curious what is around her it works perfect cuz the seat (rearfacing and front) has three sitting positions.
Both me and husband were out for dinner last night with baby and it was her dinner time too. Cool thing is that she doesn’t need a seperate babychair cuz we can just adjust the height of the pramseat and she can sit with us at the table. So yesterday after her feed she was sleepy, with one click I adjusted her seat so she could sleep.

Same here but I am avoiding getting a dual stroller, hate them with passion, am thinking of carring the new baby and pushing the older one.

No, i've never really noticed that the seat is quite low on the bugaboo but i know what you mean. I know the bugaboo is a bit pricey but i think it's well worth it...you will love pushing it around...it adds that finishing touch to being a first time mummy...it's comfortable for baby and a bit of a fashion accessory for you!
I have never heard of the Uppababy (i'm in the UK) but now that you have attached a pic of SJP with one....i have to have a serious look at it (oh how shallow i am).

I guess while the new baby is small you can keep her/him in the bjorn type contraptions.

I like them too but at that time did not get it coz it was costing around 1000 Euros here but they are trendy and lots of ppl have them.

haha that last reason you've mentioned is exactly why i'm not getting the Bug and opting for the M&P Sola instead! in Toronto, the Bug is just wayyy too hipster for me- and its such a status symbol that its thoroughly annoying :p price-wise, the all black Cameleon is actually on sale for $350 at Toys R Us right now so that wouldn't be an issue but i just can't do the hipster mom thing.
apart from SJP using it :p the Uppa is a seriously fantastic stroller and also very popular here for good reason. the Maya colour is gorgeous- its limited edition and a lovely shade of yellow with a graphite frame.
