Hi guys,
I am planning to buy a PDA for myself. I want to know which one is good. Now the most important features for me are:
1) MS PocketPC 2003 platform
2) Built-in Wi-Fi
3) CF/SD card support
4) Ability to run Compact .NET applications on it
which one would u select....till now, i am interested in Dell Axim X5...

Dell's Axim...
if finances are good...
iPAQ or samsung...
Pocket PC applications are bloatware, all the applications just use up too much room.
I would go for a Palm Tungsten C too. Palm based PDA's are a lot more lean and work a lot better. Plus there's a lot more applications for Palm OS out there. There's a few new web browsers out there that support the .net platform. If you have a bluetooth enabled phone then go with the Tungsten T3 which can dialout using ur cell phone. That way you won't be limited to only certain spots for connectivity.
I use my Palm Tungsten W, which has a wireless connection (also has a mobile built-in, but I hardly ever use it). I get my emails, browse the web, then there's all those online utilities, e.g. there's a Whois utility that tells I can query to see whether a web domain is available or not, so I can tell clients if they can register their selected domain name, another one i use often is MovieFone :-)
I manage the IT dept of a finance company in NY, used to be in consulting before, so I have come across PDA's in all shapes and sizes. But I couldn't deal with Pocket PCs (had 2 previously, as opposed to 6 previous Palm PDA's). So that's my 2-cents worth!!!
