im gettin married in Oct end INSHALLAH. please tell me any gu salon for both days makeover. but it shud fall in 10-18k. also tell does it really makes a big difference if we have make over done by any senior artist or da signature makeup.

Madeeha's senior artist make up is 13K
allenora has two packages in senior artist.... 16K and 20K ( even they donno the difference btw these two :D)
mighty senior artist makeup is 15k ( highly NOT recommanded)
fantasies is at 14K
nikkies is at 16K wid all services and everythin
now in budget below 20K... which is mine as well... ( m bride in sept insha ALLAH) allenora is good choice.... madeeha is good as well... ma nikah makeup was from madeeha but ma base got cakey and patchy and very oily at the end...

i mean is it recommended or not? i want my barat n walima makeups to b done frm gud salons. n i've wheatish complexn. barat dress is deep red n walima's dark green. wot u ppl suggest?

i dint like fantasies and nikkies personaly.... for two reasons:
1-They aint customer friendly inspite of being so less demanded in market.
2-nikkies cosmetic quality wasnt good... they dint temme which base they use... all others parlor tells that... after all its not that its only base... its all abt technique... there is no point of hidin it...
3- fantasies were just too much fairy type makeup... lolzz kinda candy doll .... colorfull... which doesnt look atleast on brides :S
4- in same price range u can have allenora, whch is trusted + with 90% probabilty for lookin gr8 n 10% can b accomodated by ur own p.o.v

I'll show u ma nikah pic...tht was good, soft, their environment is good... the only thing is photocopied bride everytime for which m not going there :)

reema you could try Diva on Zahoor Elahi Road. I had my walima makeup done from there. Their base was really good ...i could show you my barat and walima pictures ..my barat makeup was from mariam and walima was from Diva and she was charging 15000 rs a year back almost..she could fall in your budget. I don;t know about her makeup for brides in red though !

I was thinkin to raise budget to 25K and select samira umer's or maram and aabrooo... but in some other thread, gals were not much into fav of samira umer's eye makeup... and for maram and aabrooo i cant find any real bride... pics on their websites are so ordinary...

you're right, the brides up on their website aren't as good. Why don't you go to their studio and see the albums of their work.

had my barat done last december at madeehas with senior artist package, was pretty happy with it.. i dont think its worth going for madeehas(30k?), but thats just my opinion!

Just went to Ather Shahzad for a quote two days ago.
Shahzad doing makeup: 70,000
His assistant: 25,000
Mehendi or party makeup: 15,000
I really wanted a trial run but they said they don't do that - closest thing "Consultancy makeup" is 10,000 - ha! More than I wanted to spend total, let alone for a trial :) "You don't need a trial, he is the best makeup artist in Pakistan." (Modest much lately?)
I was not at all keen on the way they approached it - I said "I want it really light, like the pictures you have just shown me for mehendi makeup, except lighter, so I would want that package," and they wouldn't listen: "you have to look like a bride," falana. If they are that set in what THEY want you to look like (not what YOU want) while they're still trying to sell you on the service, what can you expect when you have already paid them?
It sounded like they might do some discount if you're in the off season (which we are not), by the way.

Mariam Khuwaja :) no one can compare to her! if you think its out of budget to get both two days makeup from her then go for at least the wedding day(assuming that you're wearing red which is a very difficult color to bring the unique bridal look in every girl)

Hi All. There's lots of good bridal make up salons around to name a few is Allenora, New look ( but there rude in my experience ) and to much of a rush and production line, Ather Shahzad - most expensive of the lot, , Sabs, Depilex alot of them get the base done by there staff and then do eye make up /lippy/blusher etc ie finishing touches by the main artist. It all depends on your budget, were you feel comfortable with and were you want to be seen and tell every one who did your make up !!!! . Lots of good local smaller salons do a great job - check out your local salons & work there more affordable .Personally I would never fork out 40 ,000 plus for make up and salons that ask this much are greedy!!! It looks like they can only make there money in the bridal season !!! I come from UK - Leeds our Asian bridal good salons charge from Rs 8,000-25,000 for bridal make up/hair etc so beats me how they charge such riduculous prices and people pay it ! to get make up done - my advise is try the local salons as well not just your well known over the top priced salons , see there work , or get feed back from local salons clients. I have said it before and I say it again I have heard there is a foreign run spa/salon opening soon this year called SAMS (Skin analysis medical spa & gym) in Lahore with foreign trained staff and Tony & Guy trained Hair stylist and experienced make up artists with affordable Bridal make up starting from Rs 13,000. They have weight loss & skin treatment packages etc It's run by a UK trained skin specialist /weight specialist and UK spa instructor. It will be great addition with good spa services to ease & relax you and get rid of the stress. check out there website/google them.

SAMZ is a new salon in lahore and they do just amazing amazing amazing makeup.just check their facebook page.they are not very expensive too.good luck.
