Which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

*I'll let you know how it goes...I am going with Madeeha (from Madeehas) for baraat (insha`Allah) and Shahzad Raza (from Ather/Shehzad) for Walima... *wink

My baraat dress is watermelon pink with acid green and walima one is aqua with peach-pink!

**UPDATE: :biggthumb :biggthumb

****Hey....I have an update...I was on the phone with this person (for the sake of anonymity let's call this person XY) who has been in wedding business for almost 18-20 years nows....XY's credentials speak for them self!

I asked XY's opinion regarding the makeup artists and and the salons....I was told (off the record, of course) that Madeeha from Madeehas used to be really good up until a couple of years back but now there are attitude problems around that salon. XY also stated that just this year alone half of the brides that got done from Madeeha have complained about their BASE...Madeehas's base made them look like porcelain dolls (not in a good way just too whitish or ashy)

XY highly recommenced Annie from Alle'Nora or the seconded Mighty from Mighty's Salon. It was also mentioned in the conversation that Shahzad (from Ather/Shehzad) is really good with contemporary colors and will work well with my walima colors.....

I really respect this person's opinion since XY is right in the industry and knows all these artists, designers and rest personally....

So now I think I will go with Annie from Alle'Nora for Baraat day (inshaAllah) and Shahzad Raza from Ather/Shahzad for Walima Day (inshaAllah). **

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

Chanda that's because madeeha's doesn't have a great photographer! A&S are amazing when it comes to models and (yellow undertones) but they aren't really good for bridals..if they take pics those turn out great! But any pic taken by others (guests, family etc) turns out scary!

U have delicate features and a fair complexion and I blv the pastel pallete would look best on you and Madeeha's is fantastic with such a pallete..

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

^haha..are you serious!!....and i thought you are not allowed to take private cameras in the studios....at least thats the rule here....hmmm.....

i guess i ll do trials at madehas and A&S...this time i m going for a month or so...ill have plenty of time to coordinate Inshallah!!

walima dress will be champagne or ivory...and i have asked karma to do it...i mean its still a year away...but still...its never too early to plan ahead...Inshallah... :)

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

Do ask for trials..btw karma is out with sum gorgeous new dusty rose bridal outfits! Very delicate and very pretty!

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

I checked with both A&S and Madeehas few weeks back and they do not offer any trials at all!

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

 but they agreed to do so…how weird…

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

As far as I know they don't offer trials..

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

excuse the lingo, but FCK! these MUA are idiots!
i had a trial done at elyssium in defense today and after pretending that she understood that i wanted a very very natural base, i.e. only apply lightly where necessary, she painted my face clown white with a paintbrush and foundations!
RIDICULOUS.
same with madeeha's. alle'nora.
these MUA's are all idiots.

they are so used to their ridiculous stereotypical aata look, they cant seem to do anything different!

just a note: these are paid trials!

Re: which parlour to choose in Lahore for wedding?

soooooo true!!!!! they are all circus clowns....get real...we are not white...so stop trying to make us white.....

Strange, Madeeha usually does "light" bases... for sumone who doesnt use much make-up, even the slightest base seems heavy. But they apply the foundation keeping u're skintone in mind, uneven patches and blemishes. Plus, pictures have to turn-out nice as well.

help needed: which one is better?

hello friends!

i'm geting married in december in lahore. i need to get appointment for make up. i cant decide which one to go for...ather shahzad's salon or madeeha's? also tell me who is better for photography...afzl or shahnawaz. i've been reading previous threads but everyone has different views. i'm very confused as i've no margin for experiment.
ps: if i go for ather shahzad, i would be getting it done by make up artist, not shahzad himself...and my jora is red.

plz get me out of this dillema... :)

hi there!
i suggest u to go for madeeha's bcoz ather shehzad isnt so gud with red...for photography shahnawaz is better than afzals but even afzals isnt dat bad....:)
