It's called The Temple of Soloman (or now known as simply as Temple Mount) because according to the Old Testament, it was originally constructed Under Soloman, King of the Israelites on Mount Zion. The original temple was later destroyed by Nebechenezzer, but the exact location of the Temple of Soloman is a matter of debate.
What Westerners call "The Dome of the Rock" is Masjid Al Aqsa, said to be the site of the Second Temple, on top of "Temple Mount".

Don't know while searching info about 'Al Aqsa', 'Dome of the Rock' this pic pop-up many times. Don't know its related or not.

Well the first picture is a red-herring ... The second one I technically don't agree with it entirely ... Although Sayyiduna Umar (RA) built on the original site of al-Aqsa ... It is wrong in my view to call that masjid alone as al-Aqsa. Yes, the Dome of the Rock is called Qubbat al Sakhara in Arabic. I have always understood Al-Aqsa to be the ancient Temple of Solomon ... And the holy sanctuary of bayt-al-muqqadis is the whole of the enclosure.
Temple of Solomon includes most of the south of al-quds, which is a shorthand way of saying bayt-al-muqqadis ... This includes all of masjid-al-Aqsa and the surrounding area outside the wall ... So in my view already part of al-Aqsa is outside the huddod of the al-quds masjid already, but the majority is within it.
The temple mount refers to the LAND on top of which these various buildings are built, roughly the al-quds covers the whole of the temple mount.
So called because it is the mount on top of which was the Temple of Solomon. The majority of the mount to the north and east in the past was covered in an olive grove.
Al-Aqsa when spoken about in the Qur'an should be viewed as the al-quds boundary, plus surrounding areas, this includes both the golden and the lead domes.

In past I also thought the Masjid Al Aqsa is the one with golden temple. However by searching about it, i’m confused now which one is the is the Masjid Al Aqsa and which one is the Temple of Soloman. Further searching on the same topic, I came to know that the Israeli’s digging beneath and making many tunnels towards Al Aqsa. Reason was given is that it is for religious purpose.

As I said, treat the whole of it as al-Aqsa, the Dome of the Rock and masjid al-Aqsa all the places within the al-quds are for us the same and part of the sanctuary of al-Aqsa.
Regarding the digging ... Yes that is common knowledge.

The fact is the Zionists want to force fulfil their prophecies, by digging under the masjid, they hope they can bring the structure down. At least the part that touches the wailing wall. The Temple Mount, is the site of the Temple of Solomon used to sit, they want that to be reinstated. According to their own beliefs the Messiah will not come until the Temple is restored.
They are also working on preparing the perfect red cow to slaughter on the mount as a sacrifice … It may well be that indeed the messiah will come, the person who comes to them will be he imposter (Dajjal), but they fail to realise it.

My personal view is that the Third Temple is already built … It is al-Aqsa … So it was restored from the people who had control of it They were using it as a junk yard …
