which one is better

Re: which one is better

question..why is it worse for girls to move out on their own and live independently? I know there are some girls here besides Sarah who don't live with their parents/husbands, so can u guys giv us any words of wisdm so to speak?

When I was younger--in high school--I wanted to live alone SO MUCH> it wasn't the privac, it was just having the freedom. But I've realized that 1) I'm SO NOT ready to take care of things on my own, like cooking adn cleaning, budgeting, etc. Not being able to stay out all hours of the night is a small price to pay for having my mom do almost everything for me. I know it's not exactly right but that's just how i feel. 2) The most important reason of all, ive seen how much my parents have suffered coz of my brother when he moved out at the age of 19. I can't put my parents through the hurt, I just can't let that rest on my conscience. Again, I dont' think it's right, but it's not like I can just say "fk you" to them and run away--that's just not in me.

Re: which one is better

when i turn 18 i wont run out be like im leaving!! esp. if i was only movin a block away.. than im better of stayin at home..
i think its worse for girls cus it "dangerous"..my friend in college was gettin a car, n her mumanni didnt want her to get a good car cus shes a girl n someone might steal it.. well hey if i had a nice car i would beat the crap out of anyone who tried to steal/ mess it up..

Re: which one is better

well, if it's more "dangerous" for girls, why dont u teach ur girls to defend themselves? instill self confidence and self esteem so that they don't get hurt emotionally...i know that's not what you meant by "dangerous" but that's also an aspect to think about whenever we go out into the world. I admit i've been very naive and gotten very hurt simply coz I didn't know better. Okay i'm gettin offtopic here...so my next question, Is it highly unrealistic that girls can be able to fend off attackers, with pepper spray/gun or some well-aimed kicks/punches?
