Re: which one is better
It depends. Living alone can be challenging, there is so much to take care of, finances, bills, budgeting, balancing chequebooks, finding time to cook in a busy schedule, cleaning. Really, there's so many things. I think if you are ready for that, it is a great learnign experience and will really help you prepare for when you do have to move out and become financially independent and support your own family. It's not for everyone though. I mean when I moved out, all I thought about was freedom as well and my own privacy. But there were a million and one issues that cropped up and doing things entirely on my own was tough because I did not have experience from before.
And it depends if you will be getting your own place or living in dorms. Life's easier in dorms, a lot of the stuff is taken care of but with your own place, it's more challenging.
If the only reason you want to move out is to get some privacy though, you should talk to your parents about giving you more space. That shouldn't be your only reason for moving out.
