I have a friend’s wedding two days later and have to apply henna on her hand tomorrow. I am pretty good at applying mehndi and have to do that on every chand raat for my entire family. I must say I enjoying doing so but until by back starts hurting. But I have never applied a henna on a bride’s hands so a little confused. I have shortlisted a few designs and need your advice on which one to select (for the back sides)?
I personally like the sleek traditional Uroos designs.
Few other with double shades .. but I don’t have cones with different shades.
Could you recommend me some pretty designs for the inner side ?
Also, where can I get a nice cone mehndi in Islamabad. I bought Emergency cones from a nearby market but they have a very pale colour
Re: Which mehndi design would you prefer to see on a bride's hand?
I love the traditional uroos ones you posted they're beautiful. My mehndi style is similar to the last picture you posted - I have never come across mehndi like the first pics you posted, but they look beautiful!

Same here, I usually apply mehndi like the last pic. I can also apply arabic designs fluently but this is the first time I am going to make an effort on the traditional ones.

I’m so glad you like that :). Here’s another design that I tried today. Not as delicate as the hinaj one ( I would partly blame my cone mehndi for that) but I hope there will be some perfection by tomorrow. I’ll surely post pics of the final round!

ooo you have talent mashAllah! I am usually really fussy with my mehndi designs I usually don't like 70-80% of the stuff I see... but your style I like :) looking forward to final pics!
Re: Which mehndi design would you prefer to see on a bride’s hand?
To be honest I feel that bridal mehndi should be a blend of thin and thicker designs. As thinner fade very quickly.
Check out Suhana’s Mehendi on Fb, her designs are my fav. ==> https://www.facebook.com/suhanasmehendi
I also like the 2 shaded mehndi but it’s pretty bad for your skin. I had a weird reaction to it and won’t do it again.

Thank you for the pretty designs Sidra ! I have actually saved some of them.
Yes you are right about arq cone mehndis. Some smell like ink and have a very burning sensation. It is always better to apply on a small test area before using them.

The colour turned out really well and a lovely design.
what henna did you use?
Thank you Sahida! :) I bought a local Nadra emergency cone mehndi. They told me that a nearby parlour also uses cone mehndis from here, so I kind of knew that the colour would turn out to be good.
