which lyrics get you thinking?

I haven’t been listening to rage against the machine for long, a couple of friends got me into their music just before school went out.

I find their lyrics pretty amazing, they really get you thinking.

anybody else likes rage against the machine? got a favourite tune by them?

renegades of sound is a tune, with great lyrics, it mentions some famous historical figures ad mentions stuff about philosophies.

and now, a question for all guppies.

which bands/artists, would you say, tend to come up with the type of lyrics that really get ya thinking?

i’m not talking about best rhyming lyrics here, i’m on about the type of lyrics with words and phrases that make u think and wonder.

I find that much of the heavy music that I listen to offers very much in terms of thought provoking lyrics. Such bands as Black Sabbath (Ronnie James Dio era) and Dio's solo material is a perfect example of this. Right now, I'm listening to "Fortress of Solitude" by Pakistan's heaviest export "Dusk". Here are the lyrics;
