I was supposed to wear small baliyan on my mehndi but I forgot!
I wore gorgeous bangles, I had a fish plait with a long hair jewel coming down the plait, so it looked as though I had a lot of bling on, even though I didnt!
I'd say go baliyan, bangles, and your engagment ring. :)
