thats a silly question, all the cities are so different from each other, its unfair to comapre them .. I personally don't like any of them :p

KARACHI is the best , No other City in Pakistan has what Karachi has and even Karachites or much of Pakistan don’t even know about.
1- Karachi has an Island called “Manora” must visit place
2- Karachi has 1+3 beach resorts (Clifton)-(SandsPit)-(HawkBay)-(ParadisePoint)
3- Karachi is a Port city thus can not be compared to any other city in Pakistan
4- Karachi has sub-tropical climate, therefore its much stable through out the year
5-South of Karachi is mostly marshLand + mangroos growth and South-East at the mouth of River Sindh is a Dalta that is so beautiful and phenominal to view but mostly bad news to landlords and farmers.
So take your Pick, but you can not have a winner among 3 cities. Its not fair.

Islamabad would have been my answer a few years ago but lately there has been a tremendous influx of new people into islamabad, too much traffic, every market is busy, pretty hectic.
I'd have to say Lahore though, there are some really nice areas though, such as defense, modern, all kinds of shopping and places to eat, nice roads, and social people, something you wont find in Islamabad, where most people just keep to themselves.
But karachi is karachi
karachi = represents pakistan to the fullest.... go ask any randon person to name a city from pakistan..... they'll mention karachi :)

By lately, what time frame r u referring too??
i was just there abt a year and 4 months ago and it was almost the same as it was when i left it 3 years ago. True many pakistani amreekans left america to reside in islamabad but its not that many that they made the whole city turn into pindi in a year.
btw, i lived in both karachi and islamabad so when i say that islamabad is the best, believe me... i know wht im talking about:D
