I wanted to create a poll wit following choices but didn’t know how to; so just type you answer:

Who amongst following will score highest against NZ in coming match?

Sachin :smooth:
Ganguly :snooty:
Dravid
Yuvraj :sunny:
Sehwag
Khaif :gizzy:
Extras :bummer:

SEHWAG !!!!!!!!!

First half of worldcup belonged to Sachin.Next half is SEHWAG's. :)

Sachin definitly, he is playing the best cricket of his life, without him India is nothing.

Re: Which India batsman will score highest against NV in coming match? :k:

To create a poll you have to contact the mod of the forum. Only the mod can start a poll.

Looking at current form of the Indian batsmen I would say Sachin stands miles apart any other batsmen. Not only Indian batsmen he is way ahead of every other batsmen. If India wins this world cup, a lot of credit will go to Tedulkar.

Probably sachin, if he does crap the whole indian team will do crap.
He is the only reson why india have got this far and if they do want to win the world cup then they better pray sachin keeps up the good work, he is an excellent player, good enough to win matches on his own.

Hi

My answer is sachin.

But i dont think so sachin is the only reason for india doing well. Yuvraj and dravid were super against pakistan and england. Ganguly was good against kenya. Dont forget the bowlers who did excellent job against srilanka, england, Zimbawe and pakistan(in the end overs and considering it was batting beauty). shweag was good against lanka.
Also india use to have habit of collapsing or losing from winning position.
but now its changing.
Lot of team spirit. Good sign for future.

only players to play significantroles are dinesh mongia and bhajju.

i think india is headed to its 2nd loss today. NZ wil win this one

Actually I want this to happen.
I dont wana see them go in Semis being complacent.
Also NZL is definitly better equiped than SL to defeat AUS.

Jinesh ji, so far in this tourney, the only reason the Indian middle order has done well if Sachin gave them a great start, take the matches against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, England for example, he destroyed the opposition in the first 15 overs and all had guys like Dravid and Yuvraj had to do was look for singles and doubles once in a while and hit a boundry every 2 or 3 over, with the exception of Kenyan match where Ganguly batted nicely but then again its Kenya.
If India are to win tommorrow's match against New Zealand and the final against Australia then Tendulkar is going to have to unleash hell in the first 20 overs and score a century in atleast one of the matches.

Sehwag

For all those doubters....If the top 3 don't score the middle 3 will score! Indian batsmen have resoundingly answered all doubters.

And fingers crossed , top three going to fire in next 2 matches :)

Nothing taken away from the brilliant Indian performance so far, but the middle order has yet to prove their brilliance when chasing large totals, middle order clicked without Sachin when chased 140 odd against New Zealand and chased well against Kenya but the other matches where India played very well was because of Sachin.
Semifinal won't matter than much is it is against Kenya but in the final if Sachin doesn't score big than India can say bye bye to WC.

Umair316 - Can you please define where your middle order starts ?? May be I can try.

I think India says bye bye to WC regardless of what Sachin does. He's playing well, but there are Gilchrist, Hayden, and Ponting who combined can outperform him easily. Also, in the bowling department India simply does not compare to Australia.

Before the India hawks get their chaddis on fire over this, let me just say that yes, India has outperformed the other teams thus far, but in comparison to Australia, they are very weak.

I agree India is not as good as Aus but definitly Indians have been 2nd best. But once team is in knockout stages anything cvan happen. So lets see.
I dont think many Indians are very hopeful about Winning WC.If they get uit fine and if they dont. Its ok.For them world cup final was 1st March .Evrythign else is bonus.

India V NZ match is over and the thread is no longer relevant.
