Which glosses/lipsticks go well with NC40-42? Shades that don’t make you look washed out, pale or dark. Colours that make the face look fresh & vibrant.

Any brand or drug store item would do.

You NEED to try Revlon Colorburst lipstick in “Rosy Nude”. It’s the most gorgeous deep nude pink that will not make you look flushed out. What I love about this is that you can apply a little to get less color, or apply more if you want it to look darker. I bought this recently and my mom loved it to so much I had to get one for her too. I actually dab a little concealer over my lips then put this on so make it slightly lighter and a more matte texture because I just feel lipsticks last longer that way, but this is very pretty on it’s own too. I’m an NC30 in MAC, my sister is an NC40, we both use this and it looks great.

Actually I have shortlisted few ones I love Rimmel Lipsticks the most!

So they are:
Airy fairy
Undressed
Vintage Pink

Also Luscious:
Just Peachy
Breathless

These all are nude pinks or nude peach.

They will be easily available.

Further I m looking for
MAC viva glam V
NYX Tea Rose
Revlon Pink Pout

hey makd i like ur list but i would recommend try it before ordeing .. i am NC35 ..airy fairy and vintage pink didnt suit me.. check out maybelline lipsticks as well they have really nice color i like pink petal ,carnation and latte beige

I bought the revlon lipstick in rosy nude as suggested by pseudonymous. Omg! It's absolutely gorgeous. I usually find it really hard to find lip colours that compliment my skin tone (I'm nc41) and this lipstick totally suits me :D
I would deffo recommend it!

^i'm so glad you liked it! don't know what it is about that color, but it looks like it was made for desi skintone! also, something I forgot to mention, it's super moisturizing! great for winter.

viva glam V

and then:

Lustre lipstick in Freckletone
Satin lipstick in Siss

^ Either topped with Lipglass in Mad Cap

gives me the perfect nude lip everytime!!

It depends on whether you are looking for more pinkier tones or peachy tones? I find Brave and Twig by MAC are pretty colours.

MAC's Taupe and Brick O La are wonderful for NC42 skin
