Assalam-o-Alaikum…i am student in karachi…have passed my intermediate.!! i have given entry test in NED and cleared that. Now i am confused that which technology should i choose …!!! i need help..i dont know that which is the demanding one. my personal interest is in aeronautical engineering which is not introduced in NED yet..!!! I need some guidance…thx.

With the limited information in the post, it would be really difficult for anyone to guide you about a career path. If you can share some more information regarding your interests and what you plan to achieve etc. From what you have mentioned, I assume you are a guy? Though no one should be biased about that but unfortunately, that would be a consideration when giving any suggestions.

well i am a girl..!!! my only interest is aeronautical...but software and automotive will also work for me but i dont know about its scope....i hate chemistry extremely so i dont want admission in the field where chemistry is involved...!! now what should i do...i will be giving the test for PAF aeronautical...probably in feb...but if i failed in PAF then i will have no choice....i am really confusseeeeddddd........

and yeah...mechatronics is also another interest and i also dont no anything about its scope in pakistan and other countries....

Aeronautics is about 80% mechanical engineering the only problem with it is that it is very niche ... Unless you have contacts in that field or you are graduating from the top two universities for that course in the top five of your department then it is unlikely you will find a role in industry. If OP enjoys it ... Then she should do it, but if she is doing it for a career then it closes doors rather than opens them unless of course she is better than the rest.
@ OP .... Besides you say that NED does not do aero ... So if they do mech than do that and later on you can do a master in aero at a different place ...

Go to civil or mecahnical. That will not put you in aeronautical, but in aerospace. It could also land you a job in automotive.

You may go for Electrical Engineering. Or CIS. Many girls in my batch also dreamed abt Aeronautical Engineering as their career and they ended up doing CIS, Telecommunications, Electronics from NED and are well-satisfied. :)

will civil work for me...i don,t know whether it is the appropriate field for girls...my cousin choose civil back in 2003. i heard her saying oftentimes that she had made a wrong decision...there are no jobs for girls in civil..!!

by the above conversation i have recieved a great help…thanks to all…but one more thing what if i say that in future i want job in saudia arabia now which field will be best…keeping in mind that i extremely hate chemistry from the core of my heart…

Saudi Arabia + Mech engineering degree = Oil and Gas Mechanical Design Engineer ...

You must be thinking that all civil engineers do is to wear hard construction hats and argue with labors and foremens in the field :D.
Most core of the civil engineering is structural design and analysis (something that I do as profession), and that is 100% office environment work. You can analyze any structure as civil engineer. It could be water tower, dam, bulding, bridge, automotive frame, golf club, airframe. Its a very diverse career.
I am not sure what kind of jobs are there in KSA for ladies, so cant say much

Is it possible for you to study abroad? Or a university that offers aeronautical engineering?
Personally, I'd never study at an institution in Pakistan as they're poorly regarded.

Dun worry about the scope right now Just start ur studies and then when u will complete it oppurtunities will knock at ur door urself
