hey girls! i have got my mehndi suit made bt cnt decide on the duppatta combo.
basically my kameez is yellow with green work on it and gold gota. my shalwar is dark green with yellow work on the plates and gold gota.
i cnt decide if to do the duppatta,
yellow duppatta with a green border that has yellow work and gota onit or
a green duppatta with a yellow border and green work and gota on it :S
what do u think will luk beta?

since the dupatta will be on your head see what color looks best on you. remember teh border will be the one closest to your face so choose the border color that looks best on your complexion :)

or a jamavar dupatta that towards the ends is another color?

umm.. well the dupatta thats made with it is tie and dye. it has yellow and green strips though out it. bt the material is careb. i wanted sumthing shift that would stay on me head. or do u think i should get a border put on the side of the tye and dye one?

Go with the darker color for the border.. it looks best against most complexions. :)

Why not a three coloured dupatta with gota work/lining? The green part will go on the head, the yellow part will be at the back and the red part would just peek through when brought in front, tied to the wrists.

Has the original poster already gotten a dupatta made? I would assume so considering it's been three months.
