I thought doing it at the waleema was a bit common.

the last wedding i went to the cake was cut at the wedding. i've also been to quite a few weddings where they had cake on both days

I have been seeing a lot on the wedding day..I donno to me it doesnt seem right maybe I'm too white washed lol I think I'll keep mine for the reception

I dont know whats common but I think if I were to have I would like it to be on reception day.

Almost all weddings i've been to have had it on both days, never heard of it just on one day :/
Even in American weddings, they have the bride cake and the groom cake, so i guess that's why we have it on both days?
My cousin just had a wedding and they cut it on the waleema.

I cut mine on the wedding day. You just got married, wouldn't you want to celebrate by cutting the cake? I suppose you could do it on both days as well...

I think Valima would be the best day to cut the cake.
valima day is where i've seen it done andf thats what i plan on doing....
So I have a question, is the cake done on the barat night or waleema?

^ I think cakes suit the Valima ceremony more rather than the ba'raat day.

im cutting the cake on both days and we are having a first dance on both days too! lol we live far from each other and obv not all my guests will be attending the walima apart from close firends and fam and visa versa so we agreed it would be nice to do it all twice so that no one misses out :)
