anyone here knows which brand is the best for non-stick and stainless steel cookware? I need to buy a set which would be big enough to cook for a family of 4-6 people…My mom usually buys utensils from pak but this time we just want to get the whole set from here(US)…Please suggest the ones you use. Thankyou!
just to give you an idea, my mom uses them and she has these 3 skillets about more than 16-17 yrs old now and they still in a great condition. I myself use them. since i am not a expert cook, i tend to burn my food but guess what? T-Fal is still kickin :D
wow…16-17 yrs of use sounds awesome. I love to cook and I’d absolutely HATE to change cookware every now and then plus I sorta feel attached to old knives, pots etc. food cooked in new cookware tastes kinda funny too so y’know i’ve got to have a set which lasts a long time.
I am using calphalon right now it works really well. No scraping whatsoever! Prior to this i was using Circulon II and it also is a very good brand it lasted me good 5 years and that is daily cooking, i tell you. It is still in very good condition i just wanted something new. T-fal is also a good brand.
T-Fal is good but we wanted to try something different as we already have a few things from T-Fal. So we bought this Farberwear from Sears recently and so far so good.
The secret to increase the life of a non-stick pan is to never put it on more than med-high and try to avoid dishwasher even if it says its dishwasher safe.
very true…the dishwasher ruins the non-stick sooner then if u hand wash it. also make sure u ALWAYS use plastic or silicon cooking utensils. The stainless steel ones will scratch the surface.
Try Lagostina...you can find a non-stick set for about $150 CDN at Sears on sale. Mine have lasted me for 6 years so far and I can see it lasting another 5-10 years. Mind you, I only cook about twice a week.
