you are right and they are also found in Mumbai...
...i like their squeaky Urdu accent. they are mostly traders in Mumbai. i believe they speak Kachchhi, Gujrati and Memoni.

Usually when they show Memons in TV shows, mostly comedy, the accent is very funny.

u r right too. i wasn't referring to those Memons who have been assimilated into Sindhi or Urdu speaking cultures. i was referring to those who speak their own language full-time and speak Urdu part-time...

i once called my cousin in Mumbai but i got a wrong number of a Memoni guy. it soon turned into a prank call. i mimicked his voice and accent and my cousin liked it. i'll post an audio of that prank call soon...iA :D

palwala might be some place in Gujarat.. Many surnames like Bantwa (Bantwa-Nagar), Dhoraji Memons (an area in Gujarat). Then there are surnames on professions.. Bandooqwala.. Batliwala

actually recently cousin ki shadi huyi hai un ki wife ke last mae palwala hai pata nahi konsi cast hai .. isliye pocha she is from karachi
