Urdu became popular in hindi movies due to one and only- Mohd Rafi. If one looks at the golden age of hindi movies in 50's and 60's.. movies were in hindi but as soon as song started it was in Urdu! There are hundreds of urdu words that beceme household due to Rafi sings.. Dilip used to sing Rafi's songs in his movies mostly.. he couldny had done without backing of so many urdu lyruists in hindi movies along with music directors..

if we go deep into urdu lingusitics it turns out there is no such thing as hindi, its only urdu. urdu developed from languages like arabic, persian, turkish, sanskrit, regional languages of the sub continent, english and even other european and far eastern languages. this makes urdu one of the easiest and most versatile languages of the world and thats the reason why non urdu speaking people are so quick to learn it. hindi, as what we know today is infact urdu, but is called hindi just because indian hindus who after partition felt that they just couldnt live with the fact that the language that was most popular in their country was actually a muslim language. hence arrived hindi, which is urdu with a few extra words from sanskrit etc.

Don't be rude and call a language Gay. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean its gay. Respect others how you would expect them to respect you.
Rana ji, That was Hindi yaar, Someone said there is no language called Hindi, so just gave me a taste of it.
Anyways, listen to Yasir, He is right, Every language is great. ![]()
I can bet their ABCD asses that they cant make a head or tail of this shudh hindi statements…
my dear friend asif_k
this language that you posted in is 98% sanskrit and 2% urdu i.e. what indians call hindi which is infact URDU! i hope your concepts are clear now, lets not make it an ego realted issue, a fact is a fact, this language that you just used is found only in books and not among the common inhabitants of hindustan. why? because it was created and not developed naturally. languages can not be created and then expected to live long.
umeed hai jannab ki samajh main humara nazarya zaroor aye ga.
i think not even a so called Hindi professor would be able to translate the crap asif_k wrote. you know why? cause when all else fails the Hindi professor turns to Urdu himself!![]()

Haris Zuberi Bandhu, You couldn't be more wrong because most (Hindi Speaking) Indians understand what I wrote in Pure Hindi. If you dont believe me, Take a Print out and take it to any Hindi Speaking Indian. :)
Brother, I have no ego about any language and I do believe that the language we speak in India is not really Pure Hindi but (as you say) it is not really URDU either. No matter where you are in India, the Hindi spoken there is a mixture of Sanskrit, Urdu, Local Dialects, English and many other languages and that is the reason hindi spoken in Mumbai is very diff from that spoken in Hyderabad, UP, Bengal or Bihar.
As for your Claim of my post was 98 % and 2 % Urdu, Do you even know Sanskrit to make that claim ? Sanskrit is a very different language and trust me If I write those things in Sanskrit (not that I can write them) I guarantee you there is no single soul on this forum who can translate that for you :)
In Simple words :- The difference between Hindi and Sanskrit is roughly like the diff between English and Latin.

Well you are wrong brother :) Most hindi speaking Indians will understand that. It's not crap, please do not insult any language, You dont see me insulting Urdu or any other language, do you ?
haha..

okay…so wat is the answer to the question:
whoz the indian actor who speaks urdu?![]()
well Janab Asif_k
theres no need for me to take a print out to any hindi speaking indian because every indian i know who speaks or understands hindi is actually talking in urdu when he/she says that they're talking in hindi.
secondly, even in pakistan the Urdu spoken in Karachi is slightly different from the Urdu spoken in Lahore or Abbotabad or Quetta or Jamshoro due to the regional languages' influence. India has countless regional languages and the Urdu there is sure to have differnt dialects all over the country, yet the actual language stays the same wherever you go. Just because the Urdu in India has a larger share of Gujrati, Malyalam, Telegu, Burmese, Nepalese, Bengali, etc. doesnt mean it turned into Hindi, its still Urdu, just like the Urdu in Pakistan has a greater influence from Pashtu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Mekrani doesnt mean that URDU in Pakistan transformed into some new language! is the spanish spoken in spain something entirely different from the spanish spoken in Mexico!?
regarding what i said about your post being 98% sanskrit; well isnt(wasnt) all hindustani mythology in sanskrit? so i know by default that whatever is today known as hindi has a lot of sanskrit in it-an attempt on urdu by hindus to personalize it.
and lastly if you must compare Hindi and sanskrit with English and Latin you must know for a fact that Latin has had quite an influence on English...
no hard feeling, just an argument...
phew...i dont understand why indian muslims fight for hindi ideologies...
well…all of them! there’s no such thing as hindi, Hindi is Urdu
Urdu=Hindi

Losing an argument ?? And that's why the need to play the religion card...How would you feel if a Pakistani Hindu says the same thing about Urdu and calls it Hindi instead of Urdu ??
Anyways - If you think that what I wrote was Sanskrit, then I can't help you. Go ahead and live in denial, I am not going to argue with an ignorant fool on this one :)
read my last post once again, ive only used factual arguments to support my views. there was no personal attack such as "ignorant fool"!
on the other hand, read yet again my last post. where does it show that im losing the argument? infact youre the one losing the argument cause you had nothing to say in response to my post and thus you turned to personal attack and accused me of playing the 'religion card'.
its only a fact that muslims in india are living second class citizens' lives-i know youre going to deny this, but take a peaceful look around and see, how many muslims make it big purely on merit in india? you have to be a pro hindu like your present president abulkalam, to make it big. anyone protesting against the wrongs done against the muslims is bound to live a troubled life. it hasnt been that long since sanjay dutt was made to pay for supporting muslims during the babri masjid riots- speaking of which, have you forgotten how the mosque was destroyed by hindus!? and how they massacre muslims everyday in kashmir?
and yes i would surely be angered if a hindu from pakistan calls urdu hindi, because he would be absloutely wrong in saying that! and if he would insist, I, would rest my case and chose not to argue with an ignorant person! cause everyone knows Urdu came first!
well i think this is getting out of hand now, and i say again no hard feelings, just an argument...you are welcome to post your opinion and i would reply but lets not take it any deeper into sentiments and emotions.
Thank you for confirming what I said. ![]()
I rested my case and chose not to Argrue with an Ignorant ![]()
