the finals, I am proud of our team and its achievements.
A team which was written off before the tournament and played poorly early on is peaking at the right time and has made us all very proud.
A nation which is going through some very tough times at the moment has been provided with a big boost to its morale.
I want to say the following and want our posters to send the same message to our team:
- Thank you for what you have done and we look forward to you lifting the cup on sunday and the whole nation will be supporting you
- Win or lose you have our respect as you have earned it with a magnificent display in the semis and beaten the unbeatable team
- Thank you to Afridi who said in the interview before the match that he wanted to give something to the nation to cheer at this difficult time.
And lastly please if we do lose on Sunday give a big ovation to our team for having exceeding our expectations and bringing so much joy to us. Please don’t start criticising and taking the team apart in case of a loss on sunday.
