A while back I read Strings’ interview and Faisel said they’d be releasing their new album called Dhani in summer ,03. Well, where is it??? I just checked out Strings official website and went through their retarted forum but no news over there as well. Let me know if any of you’z have any knowledge about it. 
Their album is releasing after 14th August,thats what I read.
I didn't even know they were making a new album. Have you at least heared a few single tracks from it? Are they good?
The album's release date as of now is Sept, 01 2003.
I hope they dont make songs like their world cup wala song (most recent one for which they made a video as well). I know it had to be upbeat since it was about the worldcup and national spirit...but I'm looking forward for something more dark.

Duur was an excellent album, and hopefully Dhani will be even better.
Okay maybe dark is the wrong word. But I'm expecting good interesting, and well-thought out lyrics. About serious stuff in life. Not the "chalo dance karein" type lyrics.

well, i don't think they ever did "chalo dance karein" type lyrics. Check out their numbers, Jaaney Do, Kuch tu ho gaya etc, they ARE about serious stuff in life and with Sir Anwar Maqsood as lyrcist, why wouldn't they.
I've heard for this new album Dhani, they've also called in Riaz-ur-Rehman Saagar along with Anwar Maqsood to do the lyrics.
alright the album will be released mid-Sept or at the end.

actually if you look at all of their 3 albumz, they always had good lyrics and no 3rd-rate stuff the kind you see & admire in indian movies. Strings have always provided with nice and decent songs and i'm sure this album won't be an exception to that trend. :~)
album will be out next month.
1st song of the album ghata chaye is complete, and should be on air in a few days on all major channels like ARY , Zee and not Prime (cuz they never get new videos)

that's what I mean...I think they've always had good lyrics as well. This recent world cup song surprised me though.
yeah the lyrics couldn’t be bad since Bilal has his father Anwar maqsood’s helping hand who’s a very good writer.
i saw new video yesterday for the first time on GEO TV the song was ‘Ghata Chai’ from the ‘Dhaani’ album and it was the kind you start liking only after listening to many times-thats what happened to me with ‘duur’.
the video by the way was great! great photography! it was fast moving and fun. Jami sure is begining to fire his guns. great video, great direction, went very good with the song.
by the way does anyone know what ‘dhaani’ means?
