since u'd have preferred God to step in to save those ppl caz in ur opinion God shouldn't allow such stuff to happen, then would it be fair to expect God to stop us humans from doing anything that He doesn't want us to do? for example drinking, dating, kissing in public, watching crap on tv, etc. etc.
i'm sure all the whiners who want God to step in everytime somone is dying wouldn't want God stopping them everytime they stepped out of line. The bottom line is God has given humans choice and He allows us to use that choice to a certain degree. Just out of curiousity, did you not think of this question when the government of your country was cluster bombing neighbourhoods in a distant land all on your behalf? would it have been a fair expectation of God to direct those bombs to the cities of the US or at the very least stop US everytime it goes on a new imperialism adventure?

*My friend read the title of the thread Its says " GOD" not allah.... my question is not based on Islamic values but all the religions which believes in a supreme enitity .All the followers believe that entity has the power to take life and to protect the given life........You on the other hand comparaing genocide with daily life routine ....you see we muslims like to relate every damn thing with sex.....its like in our religion .....we cant think beyond the sex paradigm *

Coming back to your post...You know wat a positive mind would rephrase your senstence that if God could just make those bombs disappear using his Godly powers wouldnt tha thought be nice .... but oh well a mind always speak for whats been taught.......

in ur haste to argue, you missed my point. You missed the etc. etc. at the end of those examples. That was not meant to be a comprehansive list, nor was i talking about things only prohibited in islam. No matter which religion you look into, there are prohibited practices. The point was, would you like God to enforce His will and forcefully stop the followers of that faith, if not all people from doing those things.
And where in my post did i say anything about sex. ye chor ki daari main tinkay wali baat to nahin hai? now that you have mentioned it, do enlighten me which religion allows pre-marital and indiscriminate sexual activities?
about the bomb issue. would you like God to shut down the factories that make them?
the issue is of choice or no choice. the bottom line is no matter wot ppl say, everyone likes to live their life the way they see fit and thats because God has given us that freedom. if you would like God to interfere in certain matters caz they don't match your taste. would you like God to interfere in matters based on other's taste as well.

As far as i know ...no religion promotes it....but no other religion takes such inhumane stances just cuz someone slept with someone,or made out in public or watched some porns on TV or had couple of JD shots.Anyway thast not the focus of the discussion.
