Where to stay in Lahore?

Hi everyone,
I plan on traveling to Lahore, Pakistan, in early 2014, for about 10-12 days. I need recommendations for a place to stay. On Trip Advisor, Avari Hotel has the best rating, however the cost does add up quickly. I don’t have any close family that I could stay with. I’ll possibly be going with my Mom, so two females, and we haven’t been to Pakistan since a short trip in 1999! I am not sure what to expect and if there are any safe and somewhat more economical options (other than Avari). Please help!

i heard that Pearl Continental is great...i once booked a room for the weekend but couldn't go to Pakistan.

yep … i agree with KKF.. Pearl Continental also known as PC is a good hotel to stay.

There are other small time hotels but i really wouldn’t recommend you staying there, especially when you are traveling with ladies.

You can also take a look at Hospitality Inn former holiday inn, this is also a good place to stay.

Apart from the above you can also look at ,

  • Hotel Ambassador Lahore 3 star

  • Hotel One - The Mall Lahore 2 star

  • Hotel One Faisal Town Lahore 2 star

  • Hotel One Gulberg Lahore 2 star

if you want reduce the cost get a package done with Emirates Airlines.

rent a house for few weeks it may work out to be cheaper

just watch out for people, i've always had a bad experience with people trying to rip me off especially at the airport
and don't trust anyone.

Avari and Pearl Continental. I wouldn't recommend travelling in the current climate without persons who know the city well and your own security as an outsider is more of a target.

Plenty of Hotels .... guest house and furnished apartments .... depends on your budget, Holiday inn is also best .... no need to fear from current situation everything is calm and smooth going in Lahore need any help you can contact....

Thanks, everyone. I don't see the room rates on the Hotel One website. Can anyone who's stayed there give a guesstimate?

Hotel one and best western both are mid range good hotels.

Look no further than Pearl Continental and Avari (former Holiday Inn), they are very safe, luxurious and located right in the heart of Lahore.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lahore? If yes, what was your experience like? Thank you.

Crown is in liberty, no? I remember going there once to pick my tickets for a cricket match. It looked just ok!

I have stayed only P.C and that i can tell you js good, if you do go for it ask them for a room in the newer wing.

The Crown Plaza I am referring to is in 2 Upper Mall Scheme. I don't know how far it is from Liberty so not sure if it's the same location or not.

If you are looking forward to shopping you might like park plaza, smart hotel or sunfort. All are at a walking distance from liberty market/m.m.alam road.
