so once baby is home from hosp, most people have cots, cribs etc for them to sleep in. we dont have much room in our bedroom and want something that takes less space as poss. any ideas?
pics would be appreciated too.

a bassinet.
You could even get a bassinet basket for a stroller and use that.
note babies can not sleep in bassinets for too long. most people say 3-5 months max. i think our daughter was almost 6 months when we took her out, but that was late.

Or you could get a mini-crib or even a folding portable crib… they take less space and are good for babies to sleep in up till one year, I believe.

nadz...this isn't a permanent solution but we were doing this while in transition and also till we were able to buy a crib we liked. We have a travel system and the stroller goes completely straight so we had our baby sleeping in it (I am scared of co-sleeping.. and when the baby was in bed with us I was too busy looking and cooing over the baby rather than sleeping). It worked out great for abt a month and by then we bought a crib.

I just saw this little bassinet sorta thing the other day that you can put right there in the bed with you, at Babies R US. I am trying to search for it, will post link here soon as I find it.

Sajalina… I have bought one since I have a king size bed and will be co-sleeping the first few months, is this the one you’re talking about?
