Hi friends! I am so excited yet nervous. I have finally taken some time off work and decided I will visit Pakistan next month. I havent been in a while so I need help from my ladies here. Is it cheaper to buy jorey from Dubai or Pakistan? I haven’t bought new clothes in a verrry long time so I am buying a few new for myself. I don’t have as much money as most do to go on a shopping spree so any suggestions on where to go to get good quality stuff at good prices let me know. I am looking for all types of clothing, casual to party and wedding wear. I will stop in Dubai for a few days to see my moms cousin as well so places there recommended are appreciated as well. Also what do you recommend getting coworkers as gifts from Pakistan or Dubai? I was thinking shawls but I want something unique. I have to get about 6 gifts for female coworkers and gifts for male coworkers. I think keychains are cheap and tacky but have no clue what to get besides shawls for women and what about guys? P.s.-the men are my bosses so the gifts for them have to be awesome yet not too expensive. I would get them chocolate but I want a lasting gift they can't eat/drink.

What about not-too-expensive earrings, bracelets, necklaces? Or purses?
I had given my male colleagues coasters for their coffee cups, made of carved wood.

Thanks for the help LM! I am not sure what style of earings or bracelets my coworkers would like because we all dress conservatively at work as per dress code. I mean I can get them party/going out earigns/jewelerty but I am not sure of their taste. i am sure it will be the thought that counts. I think I am worrying too much. Coasters seem like a cool idea but these males are my bosses and I want to get something better than that and I don't think males would like reciweving such a gift. Maybe I will find something while shopping there. Thanks though.

Khusa, or kolapuri's would be cute no? Or you can get them some traditional decorative Vases etc? For females, shawls should would work.

pakistani crafts and woodwork is superb. go to any gift store in pak and u'll get plenty of ideas. shawl/silk scarfs/ crotchet neck wraps r a good idea too. i bought a tissue box made of shells. it was such a neat work of art but it got broken while travelling. stained glass art work in pak is also brilliant and cheap. u can get personalized coffee cups or t-shirts with their names or pix on them. bejewelled clutches are also cool and ppl here like them. even in dubai u can find some arab, classic hangings or those eye decoration hangings/ jewellery.
as for urself i think pak will be cheaper option and u'll find plenty of choices and price ranges once u r there.

One of my colleagues bought some nice white kurta shirts for all his male colleagues? A pretty embellished mirror is a nice option for the women as well, or khussay, if you know their sizes. Also, stuff like random ornaments can be nice, or just a pretty piece of jewellery
