in london
not the gorey style ones, we desis have a specefic ones that usually ive seen people get them from pakistan., cant get them in any store here, but am wondering if any asian store may import them in, or something…
anyone know? they are not silver steel, something else…solid…not sure what its called…
We call them "seekhain"
They are easily available in Southall and Green st.
I just use the wooden skewers, dip them in water 20 minutes before use and they never burn.
Re: where to get barbecue skewers
They're called cast iron barbeque twigs - we have some at home, they were purchased from John Lewis. Great quality and will last us for years to come.
Re: where to get barbecue skewers
I got mine from Southall...for £1 each.Think they may be £1.50 now,but they are very solid and I've had them for a few years now. They have these wooden ends so your hands don't burn.

WHAT shops in green street? and southall?
which shop?
Don't know any particular shop...as you walk on the Broadway, away from the main fabric shops, you come to Jalebi Junction on the corner.Just after that, there are several shops that have these outside in a box thing.Usually there are some sort of put together bbq's as well.
HTH :)
I might be taking a trip there in the next week.If I do,I can have a look for you.
