Anybody an Idea wher i can get qaulity cricket kit in Lahore … dont tell me Sialkot … I’ve been there twice and got only average kit which i could dump after a few months …
i mean a good Bat
3 pairs of Pads
4 thigh pads
2 guards
2 pair gloves
2 dozen of balls
what i’m supposed to pay in total for all these things ???
I am sure, someone else will come along and guide you to the right places, but I just want to comment on the price. While the rest of the kit is not expensive and the price variance wouldn't be too steep... but in bats (and to an extent balls) there is a huge variety. Good quality cricket bats alone can cost a pretty penny. So you will have to figure out the seriousness of your purpose and stay within your budget for the bat.
Zaidi Sports dont know the area but its well know
Star Sports Anarkali
Pakistan Sports Anarkali
These are some of the places but as Fasil so very rightly said you have to decide about the seriousness and then invest. For example:
Top of the line Ca Inzi 2000 will cost you around 8000 Rps but then they have Ca Style
Ca Jaguar
Ca Hi Hyte
Ca Style
These vary from 2000 to 6000 or 8000. AS, MB top of the line bats cost you around 6000 or less. What makes these top of the line bats good is their balance and weight distribution. It is not a must that you do buy an expensive bat you might get a bat for 2000 or maybe less and still be good enough.
Pads will vary from 600 to 1500 If i remember correctly Ca Style cost around 1200. And they are very good.
Thigh pad will vary from 100 to 250Rps
Guards <100Rps
batting Gloves 300 to 600
Ball 100 Rps
If you don't wanna go to Anarkali, then for some of the basic stuff, you can check out the shops in Liberty. Near Shezan, in the basement (I think there are atleast two). Haven't been there in a while myself, but they had cricket balls (all varieties), pads, gloves etc. Won't recommend them for bats, and in all cases expect to pay a slight premium for not going to Anarkali. Haggle all you want.
There was this clip on GEO about how Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman visited Fayyaz Ahmed's sports shop in Lahore. Apparently, he is the go-to-guy for these super stars. So, may be you want to check him out. I would also like to find out his shop's name or telephone number.
