Now , that’s something new.I didnt know FIL becomes Na mehram.

There are two types of mehrams/na-mehrams

1. Permanent or blood mahrams: Such as brothers, sister, father, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, son, daughter etc etc

2. In-law mahrams: FIL, MIL, SIL, stepfather etc etc. They remain mehram till the time woman is in Nikkah of that person.

PS: There is 3rd type too called RADA (or person who u have shared milk with). So you become mehram with someone if nursed by same woman (some other conditions apply though)
