Where is the Islam?

Many of you may not be aware, but there has been a massive genocide going on against the people of Darfur, a muslim province of Darfur. The president of Sudan has been repeatedly accused of charging the Janjaweed, a group of masked horseback raiders who raided Darfurian villages, pillaging and burning down villages, mass murdering people and chasing villagers out of their homes, not to mention all the rapes and psychological trauma/torture they committed.

After much protests around the world from mass human rights groups, the Sudanese leader has finally been charged with human rights violations and is being brought down from his powerful position to be tried for war crimes.

Interestingly, muslims of Khartoum have staged widespread protests over this recent development. Below is a picture of a muslim woman who is obviously upset over the “injustice” being meated out to her President, who stands accused of murdering and raping an entire community of muslims within the country.

So where is the Islam gone? Since when is it acceptable to campaign for someone who murders your own brethren?

This does not make sense to me anymore. Muslims have possibly become the most corrupt community in the world, with the drug Cartel of South America coming to a close second.

Re: Where is the Islam?

Oh PCg, ask us to talk, you bet we are better than everyone else :chai:

Re: Where is the Islam?

PCG there is more than just religion, political affiliations, ethnicity, they play a huge role.
not to say all is hunky dory in the muslim countries at all

Re: Where is the Islam?

:chai:

Muslims possibly become the most corrupt community. Yep!

And Murgha possibly has started laying eggs somewhere too.(Sorry could not find a better example)

Its all the fault of islam. I tell ya!

Re: Where is the Islam?

What about the genocide of Shi'a Muslims in Parachinar and Kurram? Don't forget that.

Also, don't forget the genocide of Shi'a Hazaras by the Taliban during their rule.

Re: Where is the Islam?

yeah shameful!!!

sum a****** commiting mass murder and blame it all on islam :chai:

sum person of other religion does the same thing no1 blames their religion i wonder y

again religion is just one factor, there are ethnic rivalries at play that really go deeper than even religious affiliations. I am not saying it not a factor, that would be dishonest, but so would be noting it as the only factor.

Really ! ...you know pcg people in the religion section dont all live in a tent in Rub ul khali in the arabian desert and ride camels

so darfur is another episode of intra-muslim warfare ...why is the hippie liberal media just focusing on this alone and ignoring the other HR violations by other nations

its not justice that bothers people but the selective implentation of it

Re: Where is the Islam?

on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being complete injustice for all and 10 being complete justice for every animal and bird, i'd put selective justice at 5.

why should we be concerned when evaluating the darfur issue what other HR violations are? They are independent of this.

Well brother, I m afraid U are wrong. Had media been just focusing on Darfur alone, every of ur muslim brother and sister would have known about Darfur long back, ever since all this Darfur episode started exactly six years back. Irony is that while muslim tear glands never stops rememberiing muslim casuality of Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir, Chechanya etc, it seldom gets activated for black Darfurian Muslims. No Imam ever talks of sufferings of darfurian muslims, even while talking about sufferings of muslims by hand of Kuffar all over the world.

Let me remind U that casualities of Darfurian Muslims has been estimated something around 400,000 by UN, with a note that they may be underestimating the casualities by 50%. And over 2 million have been uprooted from their homes by none other than Muslims themselves.

Feel free to correct me if I m wrong.

Peace.

Maybe coz some muslims kills more frequently than ppls of any other religion. maybe coz They kill their own ppls more frequently and than quote religiuos scriptures to justify their act. Maybe U wont find as many groups as among muslims which have been created only to wreak havoc over their fellow human beings.

Although blaming Islam for their henious act has no justification at all, but muslims cant shrug off their responsibility, its their duty only to tell to the world what Islam is all about, and they misrably failed in this job.

:bism: :salam:

As a nation we Muslims are not exactly the most perfect when it comes to our internal strife.

However name one nation that does not suffer a simmilar blight. For me as a fundamentalist Fanatic, i am happy that Pakistan is a Muslim state and in so being the only in the world.

I do also mourn and pray for Muslims wherever they may be. My personall viewpoint on Darfur is that this is a war between two Muslim parties, be they deviant Wahabiyah or whatever agianst whatever. Sad it is that Muslims die at Muslim hands.

However my struggle is primarily for Pakistan and the Islamic heartland in Hejaz. Against the Wahabis i used to be a prominent figure in condemning them. However as with Shia’s i cannot fight fellow Muslims. On theoretical grounds battle is possible. I believe debating with them is the cure.

The Darfur conflict is an Ethnic war not an Islamic Jihad. Jihad can only be persued against foreign aggressors.

In other lands like Iraq they contain foriegn armies which can justifiably be targeted by any Muslim. In Darfur as a Muslim i cannot take sides. There are too many ethnic disputes here, as a Muslim i don’t have a just cuase to fight for the faith in Darfur. On humanitarian grounds perhaps i would go for peacekeeping missions. However since Darfur is not going to affect the whole Islamic world it tends to be sidelined.

Note even i do not approve of the Darfur crisis, but with hindsight one should not forget that this can be sidelined from the main efforts purley becuase Palestine and Iraq are particular areas of our faiths history.

Pakistan as the only state built on the principle of Islam therefore it has to be defended, as it is the only oponnent of Isreal which is built along simmilar lines. I:E created for a religous nation.

Darfur however is a conflict which is between people namely Arabs and Africans who happen to be Muslims. This is an Ethnic conflict not a Jihad as such.

:biggthumb

of course,

we can do nothing, we stay seperated, don't unite. we ourselves drew lines, didn't we?
Islam means peace and we should do everything to stop wars, mass murdering etc. but
how if these news are sidelined?

The News about Western Families coming out of their home and having fun in the sun are more important than the Report about this World. What is going on and what not. A veil covers what is going on behind.

Re: Where is the Islam?

If anyone wants to discuss the gazillions of other issues to discuss in the world, there is a neat little button on the forums here - its called "New Thread", and you can click on it, and start your own discussion on any topic you wish.

The topic of this discussion is where is the Islamic behavior in us muslims these days, when we see muslims protesting in SUPPORT for a tyrant who is responsible for a mass genocide (one of the biggest in recent history) against fellow MUSLIMS? This doesn't make sense to me. Its ironic. Its an ironic TRAGEDY.

Interestingly, an irony that is not just limited to Darfurians and ethnic "Arab" sudanese muslims, although from what people who have visited Sudan say there is no such divide necessarily (people on the streets are not drawing any ethnic lines to fight this battle - this is a pure genocide decision on the part of a tyrannical ruler who is not able to handle any kind of protest from his subserviants, which is how the whole Darfur thing was started in the first place).

This irony is pervasive in the entire muslim global community, aka the Ummah. More blood is being shed by muslim hands than by nonmuslim hands, and it does not make sense to me what it takes for a muslim to resort to killing other muslims, and then passing themselves off as a holier-than-thou, as we're seeing with this woman supporting one of the world's biggest mass murderers. Its not just that she's supporting such a vile person, but that she's got a hijab on her head, which is a symbol of her faith...and where is the faith in a person who supports mass murderers??

So there are a couple of things at work her, possibly.

  1. She's corrupt herself, and the hijab is just a guise.

  2. She simply is so ignorant of what her "gracious" leader is so capable of and really has no clue herself what is going on in Darfur. Akin to how most muslims in Pakistan have no clue what's going on in Swat right now.

Re: Where is the Islam?

sad sad

pcg continue your good work and dont care about others if they try to stop you

about your question where is islam

i tried to find years and years but at the end i have given up

they are using " islam " to justify bad acts or to get govern ment or chudrahat
or fool innocent people

Peace sister PyariCgudia

A lot of the arenas for war although involve Muslims fighting Muslims are actually backed and covertly instigated by Western regimes to maintain their hegemony. This is another debate.

However, I agree with you that many Muslims are obviously supporting mass murderers. The question you ask is most likely down to the media of that country. They will have establishments that will tell people what to believe and they will move masses to demonstration over international tribunals making them out to be kangaroo courts. The problem is are the international courts kangaroo courts?

A sign of a people in a state of reproach by God is that they are sent a tyrant as a leader. Verily he represents the norm of the populous. Please do one thing however, also question the Western media why they sell Muslim ignorance as reason to bash Islam? Why has this picture been taken and what is it expected conjure up in the minds of the people in the West?

If objectivity is the criticism against that woman, then the people who view the picture should also question "What is the purpose of this picture?"

pcg u have always supported tyrants strange to see u rant against one
sudananese leader might be scum of the earth but whats going on in darfur is not very different from what musharraf did in pakistan , hosni mubarak in egypt or king hussain in jordan why dosent western media highlite those violataions of human rights by muslims of other muslims

...do u see the irony here ?

simply put anti-western tyrants are bad guys BUT pro-western tyrants are good guys

Some are uninformed while others are misinformed and then there are some who think it is justified. But many people took up the stance to support a criminal because similar criminals in other parts of the world are running free.
